Vintage Illustrators: Robert McGinnis

I have a thing for vintage illustrators. Well, more than that: I am totally obsessed. And today I start this blog series of posts featuring some of my favorite illustrators from past decades. And what’s better than kicking it off with the great Robert McGinnis?

This american illustrator is known for illustrating classic hollywood movie posters, such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Barbarella and some James Bond films. He’s also created great covers for pulp magazines, fashion editorials and even for the advertising industry. Born in the 1920s, he’s one of the greatest illustrators of all time.

He also was awarded for his variety of romantic illustrations for magazines and publications. All his creations have glamour, sophistication and good looking women. He’s one of my all time favorites, I just love all his work! ❤
Many of his illustrations were inspired by Classic Hollywood actresses, such as Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor.

Hope you liked this first post of my Vintage Illustrators series ❤
Take care! xx
