Sometimes I like to remind myself of how far I’ve come. As a girl who suffered a lot of body issue struggles during her teen years, I am so excited and thrilled to announce I’m on a cover of a magazine. If I could talk to the insecure and shy teenager that I was and tell her that, in 10 years time, she would be on a cover of a magazine, things could have gone slightly different.

I was so happy when the girls of Pin Up Hoy Magazine asked me to be their first covergirl. Pin Up Hoy Magazine is the first spanish-based magazine about pin up culture and vintage style. They feature Instagram profiles worth a follow, culture recommendations, beauty tips, and news stories with vintage aesthetics.

The interview we did focuses on my main inspirations, my blog experience and the body issues I’ve had in the past. I also reveal my favourite brands, places to travel and – indeed! – my favourite vintage finds.

One of the topics also discussed on the magazine is how to start wearing vintage inspired fashion without looking in a costume. Try adding accessories and versatile garments first. and remember that practice makes perfect! The pin up and vintage lifestyle is for everybody, regardless their age, shape and gender. 

It’s amazing to see that the scene in Spain is growing. We have some of the best rockabilly festivals out there, and now the first magazine about pin ups has just launched! Glad to be part of this movement.
