Back to Hogwarts

Fancy a trip to Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry? Come with me! If you’ve followed me for a while you might have already discovered my obsession with the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling’s books helped me discover a world I never imagined could exist in my mind, and they also helped me discover the noble art of reading. It may sound odd but, if it weren’t for Harry Potter and his friends, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.
So relax, have your wand ready and come with me on this enchanting journey.

Let’s pretend we’re in Hogwarts, shall we? I teamed up with the lovely Raquel Olivera to do a fun shoot inspired in a Beauxbatons uniform with a vintage twist. For those who are not familiar with the Harry Potter series, Beauxbatons is a Witch Academy that is mentioned on Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. I’ve always felt like a Ravenclaw myself but when I saw this beautiful vintage inspired dress, I knew it had to be mine and pretend I’m a Beauxbatons student.

I ordered this dress on Aliexpress and bought my usual size, a Medium. Fits like a glove! The dress is a bit tight on the bust area but there’s enough room to wear ir comfortably. One of the things I love about this design are its sleeves and skirt. Makes me feel like a Disney princess!

I’m not a big fan of ordering stuff there but I had never seen such a design before, so I decided to give it a try given the low cost price of the item. As you can imagine, the quality is not the best given what I paid (the dress is currently at 20€ approximately but I got it for less than that).

I’d highly recommend the dress for those who plan on doing cosplay or attending a themed party. The design is lovely and I really wish more reproduction brands would design dresses with this shape.

Barcelona is such a beautiful city with hidden gems like this Monastery from the Middle Ages. It’s a Gothic monastery located in Pedralbes, in the north part of the city. I highly recommend visiting this place if you want to leave the noise and crowds of the city centre for a while.

Outfit details include shoes from BAIT Footwear and bangles from Los Flamingo and some from my vintage collection.

Hope you all liked today’s blog post! Continuing with the Harry Potter series…What house are you in? Leave your comments below!
