Period Films I can’t wait to see in 2016

Christmas and the end of 2015 is just around the corner, and as an avid Film fanatic, I’ve just listed some of my favourite Period Films coming out later this year.
The Danish Girl
Probably the most anticipated film of the year, it is based on the true story of danish painter Einar Wegener, known for becoming the world’s first trasngender woman. Eddie Redmayne portrays this facinating character in 1920’s Denmark along with swedish actress Alicia Vikander. Recently I read the novel by Daniel Ebershoff and it’s amazing.
Brooklyn
Drama about Irish immigrants who left their country to start a new life in North America. Saoirse Ronan is the main character of this love story set in New York in the 1950s.
Carol
From director Todd Haynes – responsible for some of my favorite films -, this story set in New York in the 1950s is probably one of the best movies of the year. Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara portray two women that fall in love in the 1950s.
Suffragette
Based on true events, follows the story of the women who in the early 20th century in the United Kingdom fought for equality. Starring Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep, it is said to be one of this year’s top films.
I saw the light
Pretty excited to see Tom Hiddleston as country music legend Hank Williams, who died young due to drug and alcohol overdose. Set in the 40s, the film is focused on Hank Williams and his wife’s love story as well as professional career.
Are you really looking forward to see any film in particular?

She’s a Lady

I have been busy with personal issues and I have decided to move the shop opening to next month. Things have changed drastically in my life and I am a bit uncertain about the future.
Anyway…Don’t worry! I will open the shop and keep up with the blog.
The other day, while looking for garments suitable for the shop, I came across a beautiful dress that I was intending to sell. Not anymore ’cause it is so gorgeous that I had to keep it!

It is a late 50s/early 60s dress from a Spanish designer in perfect condition and has pockets!

I was so excited to keep it that I had to get some photographs on it. Excuse the bad quality photos, but I had to take that opportunity to get pictured with my “new” hair!
All shots taken in my grandma’s flat, which, as you can see, is like being in a Film set.

Have a lovely week, folks!
