Screamin’ Festival 2016

With June nearly coming to its end, I guess it’s time to review this year’s Screamin’ Festival. This year it’s been my second time there, and I have to admit that it gets better with age hehe
Got to hang out by the beach, with splendid weather – despite the early morning clouds on Saturday – and met really nice people.

This year we couldn’t make it to the whole festival but visited Calella on Saturday for their free car show and flea market. One can find beautiful bargains there!
Also met two wonderful friends who happen to own the same car as my boyfriend. We had so much fun!

The flea market on Saturday also had live music, brought to us by The Kabooms. This Spanish rockabilly band is awesome and apart from playing in Calella they also play in other countries. Don’t miss these guys out!

Really looking forward to next year’s Screamin’ Festival. I decided to wear the Señorita dress from Pin up Girl Clothing, Tommy Hilfiger wedges and a Lady Luck’s Hair flower.

Springtime in Barcelona

Another week passing by, and really looking forward to the weekend and warmer weather!
How’s the week going? Mine is going to be shorter because I have a day off on Friday – just in time for the Riverside Crazy Car Hop -!

Today I am showing you all a shoot I did last week in the city. The weather was incredibly nice and I got to wear for the first time this houndstooth pencil skirt from Bettie Page Clothing. Don’t confuse the brand with Tatyana!

I got this skirt at Goldie’s Clothing 1st Vintage Market, where everyone could buy and sell vintage clothes surrounded by cool people, music and drinks. I decided to style this skirt with my new Voodoo Vixen top from Pinup Girl Clothing. Seriously, the best top ever made! And this skirt is so comfortable that I could wear it all day long!

The Best Rockabilly and Kustom Culture Festivals in Spain

//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({ google_ad_client: “ca-pub-2142498295430506”, enable_page_level_ads: true });

Today I’ve decided to blog about Rockabilly Festivals in Spain. Some time ago I was asked about the culture here in my country. The Rockabilly and Kustom Culture scene is very popular in the United States and in the United Kingdom, and in Spain as well.
And since in a month or so I’ll be dancing and having fun at the Riverside Crazy Car Hop, here are some of the best festivals in the country.
(in order of dates)
Rockin’ Race Jamboree: early February in Málaga
Ubangi Somp Festival: mid April in Benidorm
Riverside Crazy Car Hop: late April/early May in Calafell
Screamin’ Rockabilly Weekender: early/mid June in Calella
Psychobilly Meeting: early July in Pineda de Mar
Rustic Oval Weekend: late July in Balaguer
High Rockabilly: early September in Calafell
The scene is really alive in Spain, especially in Catalunya, up north. 5 from above are in the area, so why not consider paying us a visit in the following months? I really can’t wait to attend some of these festivals this 2016. It’s going to be a blast!
Flea markets, car shows, DJs, live music…The party has just started!

Throwback: Summer 2015 at the Screamin’ Rockabilly Festival

Hello people!
Hope all is well. I haven’t updated the blog since last month, how rude!

I’ve been quite busy with work lately. Oh and 2 days ago I turned 24! Can’t believe another year has gone by. 2015 was probably the best year of my life, to be honest. And today I’d like to show you all a throwback from last Summer when I felt incredible.
Every year the town of Calella – near Barcelona – organizes the Screaming’ Rockabilly Festival, a vintage sounds festival which is known to be one of the most popular Rockabilly festivals in Spain. Bands from all over the world and even national artists perform there in front of a large audience from different nationalities.
Sadly last year I couldn’t make it to the festival but I went to some of their free parties at the beach. Santi’s Beach Bar is the meeting point for rockers and pin ups attending the festival, and you can even spot vintage cars. And why not wear the most amazing ensemble from one of my favorite brands? For that day I wore the Voodoo Vixen Top in black and a Jenny Skirt in harlequin. Both were my part of my first order at Pin Up Girl Clothing and I’ve become a fan since that day I decided to order online from them! ❤

Really looking forward to this year’s edition! The line up has already been announced, you can check it here.

The Sixties Twist 2015 Round Up

With the end of 2015 vastly approaching, I think it’s time to show you the most popular posts of the year.
2015 has been amazing for me. Not only I’ve finally travelled to the city of Los Angeles to meet one of my best friends; I’ve also discovered that I can feel confident with my body through modeling.
Here you can browse my post popular posts during the year. check them all out!

Vintage Illustrators: Robert McGuinnis

One of my favorite Vintage Illustrators, so I had to start a series of blog posts about illustrators from yesteryear. His creations were magnificent, and most of them were used for Classic Hollywood film posters.

The Day We Caught The Train

Outfit post modelling in Barcelona’s Estació de França. A pleasure to shoot with talented photographer Núria Martínez. She takes powerful photos and made me feel like a movie star!

Autumn Vibes

This one is another of my favorite collaborations so far. I did a sophisticated photo shoot with german  photographer Celina Dolgner. She really captured my funny and glamorous side at Barcelona’s Parc de la Ciutadella. I really cannot wait to shoot again with her in 2016!

Goldie’s Clothing Gal

Second post showing my collaboration with Goldie’s Clothing – previously Cindy Bangs -. I love this brand so much. Not only because I am part of the crew helping the brand, also because they encourage women from all sizes and ages to feel beautiful in their designs.

Problems That Only Vintage Girls Will Understand

As a proud vintage hoarder and enthusiast, I came across 10 common problems that I’ve always experienced. And I’m sure you too!
Hope you all have a great day and enjoy the last days of 2015! ❤

Leopard print outfit + £5 Etsy voucher!

Hello dears, I haven’t done an outfit post in months. A decent one, I mean. Photos taken with my iPhone don’t count as one, haha. So you’ll have to excuse the low quality of the pics again, sorry!
I’m sharing with you the outfit I wore the other day for a friends birthday party in downtown Barcelona. We went out for dinner, grabbed a few drinks and then went to a disco. I didn’t enjoy the music played there, but at least I laughed a bit with my pals.
I must admit I love how my hair turned out, doesn’t it look great? I feel I have finally found the perfect style for myself: the 1950s pin up look. Although I’ve always been a Soul girl and since I was a little girl I got into the Mod scene (thanks Dad!), I feel more comfortable embracing the 50s look. Well, to be honest I also took inspiration from my one of my Classic Hollywood favourites, the stunning Joan Crawford pictured below in the 1930s. I love how she rocked the vamp look.

By the way, If you are looking for cool garments or stuff online, make sure to benefit from this £5 Etsy voucher off your first purchase! Yes, it is a discount for those of you who have never bought on Etsy before! So if you are a newbie…go for it! Etsy is an online platform to buy and sell, specialised in vintage and handmade items.

Good luck! & remember I’m selling some vintage beauties on my Etsy shop. Com say hi!

Spring Flowers

Last Sunday I had a meal with my family. The weather turned out nice, so why not pose for the camera?
Since the weather in my country is mostly sunny and warm, flowers in my garden are all blooming. Aren’t they beautiful?

What I Wore: a Tatyana Boutique pink shirt I bought in Nashville last year and my new skirt from Hell Bunny. I am so in love with it, even though I’ve only worn it twice! ❤
Hell Bunny is probably my new favorite vintage inspired brand: cool designs, rockabilly styled garments and the price is cheaper than other brands. The fabric is quite simple, but consistent. I would definitely recommend you all to get something from them, their stuff is gorgeous!

Have a lovely week y’all xx

Berlin Adventures

Hola!

—————-

Hello!
First of all, my apologies on the lack of activity on the blog. A few days ago I came back from Berlin, capital of Germany and hipster city. It is very modern, cool and urban. Moreover, there’s plenty of history: in 2014 the city commemorates the 25th anniversary of the fall of the wall, which separated Berlin. The West part of the city is very european, with large avenues and neoclassic style buildings. The East, on the contrary, is more austere and grey, with functional buildings.

The Best: food, public transport and the people
The Worst: antisocial behavior of some and the weather

Friday Inspiration: Doris Mayday

Hola!

Hello! TGIF! Yay!
Time for a bit of inspiration for the weekend.
One of my actual inspirations is Doris Mayday, a 25 year old american alternative and pin up model. She is currently one of the faces of Pinup Girl Clothing (one of my favorite vintage inspired brands), and before she worked for Bettie Page Clothing (now Tatyana Boutique), as well as for other brands from the scene.

From blonde to dark and redhead (her actual look), she is definitely worth to look up to. Doesn’t she remind you a bit of Christina Hendricks in Mad Men? You can follow her on instagram, where she posts about her personal life (friends, family and partner) and discounts and promotions for Pinup Girl Clothing.
Have a great weekend!

My first and new collectif clothing skirt!

——
Today is the perfect day to post a #throwbackthursday, although it is from a month ago and today’s a saturday. I got my first tattoo by the end of january. After months deciding what to get on my skin I made it to the parlor.
And after it healed it was time to show it to others. Lucky I was that there was a britpop party the same week. I couldn’t miss that!
My outfit consisted on a vintage jersey from my mother + my new collect if clothing skirt + shoes from a local shop. The result: a preppy rockabilly look.
