Coby Whitmore (1913-1988) is one of those artists whose art really caught my eye the first time I saw his illustrations. This american illustrator became well known in the United States for his work for the advertising industry and for his illustrations for The Evening Post.
Coby Whitmore also illustrated articles in the 40s, 50s and 60s, and his work always features glamorous people from yesteryear.
His art influenced modern illustrators, as well as comic book artists.
