Miss Sixties Twist Around The World: Paris

Last month I visited Paris to celebrate my birthday. And today I’d like to show you how was my weekend there in a new post from my Miss Sixties Twist Around The World series. So sit back, relax and get ready to travel with me!

Paris is, along with London, one of my favourite cities in Europe. Living in Barcelona makes it very easy (and cheap) to book a flight there. And although Paris itself is quite expensive, it’s a great city to visit if you fancy leaving your hometown for a couple of days. Since Paris is quite cold in early February, I took with me this beautiful Pearl Coat from Collectif Clothig. It’s definitely a showstopper!

As both my boyfriend and I had already visited the french capital several times, we wanted to enjoy the city just like complete locals. Well, we went to the Tour Eiffel at night but at least we tried, haha!

We booked a tour in a classic Citroen 2CV that took us to the city centre. It was a fun experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone who’s passionate about vintage cars.

I didn’t get to visit many vintage shops in Paris but sure had a look at Mamzelle’s Swing, located in the Le Marais area. The owner was friendly and has a great collection of vintage pieces, although they were quite expensive in my opinion. *LA will always be my favourite place for vintage, sorry* 🙂

On Sunday we had to change plans as it rained heavily so we visited Musée d’Orsay. I had visited it before and fell in love (again!) with the Art Nouveau collection showcased there. If you are under 26 years old the entrance is free!

This trip made me feel a bit nervous because I went vegetarian last year and I don’t eat dairy, so going to France was a big challenge. Despite the adversities, I really enjoyed the city.

Hope you liked the post! Have you ever been to Paris?
