Retro Spotlight: The Oldies Barcelona

Hello! I just realised I haven’t posted on here for months. Personal changes and other priorities got in the way, but I’m back and ready to continue blogging and sharing my passion for vintage with you all.

Today I’d like to show you a new shop in Barcelona: The Oldies, located in Galeries Maldà right in the city centre. I’m so happy to see a new retro shop open in Barcelona! The Oldies is specialised in reproduction items from the 1920s up to the 1950s and carry a broad selection of brands. Either shoes, dresses, coats, accessories or lingerie, you will fall in love with everything they have instore!

What I really like about this shop is that they constantly bring new designs and collections from vintage inspired brands, making it more special for everyone. They only bring one size per design so when your size is gone, is gone for ever! They don’t restock. Let’s admit it: we all hate to see the same dress on everyone, don’t we?

I recently had the opportunity to shoot for them in Barcelona and here are the results! The wonderful Alassie took all these photographs.

I’m sure you all know I’m more of a dresses/skirts type of girl, but I fell in love with these wide trousers featured in this first look. Perfect to walk in style! We later went to one of my favourite cocktail bars in the city, El Nacional, to photograph two leopard print looks.

The first dress made feel like a 1950s femme fatale! It’s sexy and elegant at the same time, and really hugs the silhouette. Definitely a showstopper!

I’m a huge fan of leopard print and I think everyone can wear it. Although it can be striking and a bit provocative, there are many ways to wear in style. This swing skirt was so beautiful and everyone kept looking at it!

Make sure to check The Oldies on Instagram and, if you’re in Barcelona, visit their lovely shop in Galeries Maldà. Pretty sure you’ll treat yourself with something beautiful and unique!

What do you think of these vintage inspired outfits? I’d take them all home with me If I could!
