Call Me Jezebel [Vivien of Holloway]

July is in full swing and although this summer is going to be different from the others, I’m taking this time in the city to explore my neighbourhood and there’s no better outfit than the Jezebel Dress from Vivien of Holloway.

Named after Gene Vincent’s famous song, this gorgeous dress comes in a beautiful leopard print perfect to channel your inner femme fatale. I’m a big fan of anything in animal print, so I had to get this dress!

The Jezebel features a wrap type top and a curve hugging skirt. The result is a garment that embraces your silhouette and makes you feel like a 1950s bombshell. I know some say you cannot mix different shades of leopard print, but we’re here to break rules, right? I think these Lucky Lou Shoes match the outfit well, so why not?!

In terms of sizing, I’m wearing my usual Vivien of Holloway size, a UK12. Fits like a glove although there is a slight give, so make sure to check your measurements before ordering. I was a bit hesitant it would be too small for me but the 12 is the right size for me, as a bigger size would have looked baggy on the waist and hip area.

For the shoot we visited a lovely park near our apartment. It used to belong to a Catalan businessman who gave the property to the city as a gift. It’s a hidden place in Barcelona: it definitely feels like you’re in the countryside or even in France!

This gorgeous dress can be worn for a fancy dinner in the city, to attend a Rockabilly weekender or even as a great wedding guest outfit! I can totally see Jayne Mansfield and Mamie Van Doren wearing it!

Have you ever bought anything from Vivien of Holloway? It’s one of my favorite reproduction brands, all their designs are made in the UK.
