When a new year starts, everyone makes some resolutions for the following 12 months. One of my goals for 2016 is to make my hair game stronger. I still need to practice more! Anyway I’m happy with my improvements in the last year. Soon I’ll write a blog post about some ways/tricks to get a vintage hairstyle.
Vintage Illustrators: Lynn Buckham
New year, and back in action with my Vintage Illustrators series, which you my followers and readers seem to enjoy 😉
Today’s illustrator is Lynn Buckham (1918 – 1982), known for his work for the advertising industry in the 50s and 60s. Even before that, but his golden years were during the 50s.
His illustrations often portrayed elegant women, also accompanied by men in their suits. His art reminds me a lot of Mad Men – a tv show that you should all see! -.

Los Angeles & California
Hello! No time no blogging!
I decided to have September for myself: holidays, personal stuff and getting back to work. But I’m back and ready to show you how is my life at the moment.
Last month I went on vacation to Los Angeles, and I really loved the experience. It’s been my 3rd time in the United States and every time I go there I am more sure that I need to leave Europe and move to America.
I explored the Los Angeles area – Los Angeles, Venice, Santa Monica, Burbank and Long Beach – and fell in love with the huge Rockabilly & Vintage scene there. It’s crazy!
Vintage Illustrators: Robert Maguire
Time to continue with my Vintage Illustrators series, which I started last month with Robert McGinnis. Today I’m going to share with you the art of Robert Maguire, another of my top favorite vintage illustrators.
Robert Maguire (1921 – 2006) was one of the most important illustrators of the 20th century, and he was best known for his film noir inspired illustrations, which featured glamorous women.
Vintage Illustrators: Robert McGinnis
I have a thing for vintage illustrators. Well, more than that: I am totally obsessed. And today I start this blog series of posts featuring some of my favorite illustrators from past decades. And what’s better than kicking it off with the great Robert McGinnis?
This american illustrator is known for illustrating classic hollywood movie posters, such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Barbarella and some James Bond films. He’s also created great covers for pulp magazines, fashion editorials and even for the advertising industry. Born in the 1920s, he’s one of the greatest illustrators of all time.
Cindy Bangs Gal
Hi lovelies!
I haven’t updated the blog decently in weeks! Recently I got a job in a magazine so I spend from Monday to Friday writing articles non stop. Sounds great, right? It is really cool but exhausting! That’s why I don’t even have time to blog.
Remember I told you about the idea of becoming a model? Well, then here you go! Last week I had the opportunity to model for a vintage-inspired brand from Barcelona called Cindy Bangs. They make great garments inspired in the 1940s and the 1950s, and the quality is excellent.
And I couldn’t be happier, to be honest!
1950s-1960s America through Vivian Maier
Have you ever heard of Vivian Maier? Her work has been untold and hidden from the world during years, but recently the world became aware of her beautiful photographs taken during the 50s, 60s and 70s in the United States. Maier worked as a maid and during the time she served as one, she photographed the ordinary lives of the people on the street.
Here are some of my favorite photographs taken by her. Enjoy!
Quick post because I am super busy with my new job at the moment! Anyway, I have a big surprise for you all soon. Stay tuned!
